OFF CAMPUS & CW Philly

September 27, 2017

Off Campus, the award-winning sitcom written and produced by Cinema & Television students, returns to television this Fall, taking over your TV with back to-back-airings of their two most recent episodes on commercial broadcaster, CW Philly. Off Campus provides a lighthearted look at the world that America's recent graduates face. The show is written, produced, directed, shot, and edited by a crew of more than 50 Cinema & Television students under the supervision of Television Program Director, Andrew Susskind. Producing Off Campus is a yearlong effort designed to offer students the closest possible approximation of producing a network quality sitcom.

In episode seven, the lives of the Off Campus cast are turned upside down when roommate Hailey’s sorority Big Sister shows up unexpectedly, and her disruptive behaviors lead to fiascos for everyone…until she reveals the real reason for her visit. Then in episode eight, a seemingly normal day in the life of the madcap home of our beloved Off Campus ensemble goes especially awry when the Wi-Fi unexpectedly goes out. Find out what happens when one roommate's corner-cutting approach to providing internet service plays havoc on his friends’ lives and brings them into contact with a downstairs neighbor who is immune to their charms.

Cast with professional actors, Off Campus, heading into its tenth season, has also been broadcast by our very own DUTV through carriage on Comcast and Verizon FioS. The show has received three awards from the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of NATAS (National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences), the parent organization of the Emmy Awards. Off Campus episodes have been broadcast twice before on CBS' The CW Philly, and we are truly grateful to our friends at this great television station for this honor.
